Over 70 years of serving the Twin Cities. From a small jewelry shop in Saint Paul’s Highland Park neighborhood to two bustling locations across the Twin Cities metro, R.F. Moeller Jeweler has seen some changes throughout our time in business. One thing that hasn’t changed over the years is our dedication to providing the best service and finest jewelry to our valued customers. Take a glimpse at some key moments in R.F. Moeller’s storied history below.
The Origins of R.F. Moeller: Robert Moeller
Robert F. Moeller was a World War II veteran and used the G.I. Bill to go to Watchmaking School. His first job was at the Emporium in Downtown Saint Paul.
Highland Park
Robert F. Moeller purchased the Highland Park business from Harmon Jewelers.
Ford Parkway
R.F. Moeller moved to a free standing location at 2067 Ford Parkway.
Mark Moeller became the first Certified Gemologist Appraiser in Minnesota.
Mark Moeller was named President of R.F. Moeller Jeweler.
1991 Mark Moeller bought the business from Robert and Bernice Moeller.
Acquisition of Korst and Sons
R.F. Moeller Jeweler purchased Korst and Sons, a family owned business on the corner of 50th & France in Edina.
Edina Store Remodel
The Edina store was remodeled to reflect the R.F. Moeller brand.
50th Anniversary
On our 50th Anniversary, R.F. Moeller moved to the space we currently occupy on the corner for Ford Parkway and Cleveland Ave in Saint Paul.
Minneapolis Location Opens
In October, we opened a third location in Gaviidae Common in Downtown Minneapolis.
50th & France Moved
In 2006, we moved our Edina store to a beautiful new space on France Avenue.
Mark Moeller receives the Shipley Award
Mark Moeller is awarded the American Gem Society's Robert M. Shipley Award. This is the jewelry industry's highest honor and recognizes individuals whose work and expertise help to further the education of the jewelry industry.
Bob Moeller becomes President of R.F. Moeller
R.F. Moeller Wins Deubener Award
We were honored to receive the Deubener Award for Family Owned Business from the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce.
Leadership Transition
Today, all R.F. Moeller Jeweler locations are owned and operated by both the second and third generation – Robert (Bob) Moeller II, and two sons, Bryan and James. Mark remains active in the business and is currently the CEO.
Diamonds of Wonder Established
We established Diamonds of Wonder, a natural diamond line with a mission to give back. We partnered with The Dow Academy in Mochudi, Botswana, serving children from daycare through secondary school.
