July’s birthstone is Ruby. This gemstone is widely known to be the ultimate gift representing eternal love. This gemstone is very valuable to many, so much so that ancient Hindus referred to ruby as “King of Precious Stones”.

This gemstone is often associated with wisdom, wealth, and success in love. Many believed rubies had special powers. For example, some believed that rubies could predict danger, others thought that this gemstone could cure ailments such as inflammatory illnesses or blood disorders just by holding it.

This gemstone was thought to possess many strange and mystical powers. For example, some believed that rubies would darken when danger was near. Ancient Indians believed that someone who offered a ruby as a gift to the Gods would be granted eternal life.

During 600 AD in Burma, many warriors found different ways to implement this gemstone on and under their skin. They believed this protected them in battle.
