Jewelry Industry Since 1988
- Favorite Gemstone: I wear sapphires for their beauty and durability but someday, I’d like to get a Watermelon Tourmaline because of my last name, Mellin.
- What’s the most rewarding part of your job? I love being in the “Love Business.” Celebrating special events can be magical. I’ve had three engagements happen in front of me in the store and I was blessed to be included in those moments. The most memorable moment though was when I refurbished a 40 year old wedding ring for a couple. Instead of putting the ring on her finger myself, I gave the ring to her husband to slide on her finger. He asked her to marry him again, just like the day he proposed.
- Favorite Travel Destination: Scuba diving in Grand Cayman
- What causes are you passionate about? For over 15 years, I have donated my time to veterans at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery and Military ceremonies as a member of the Bloomington Veterans Honor Guard. I am currently the Sergeant at Arms for Bloomington Legion Post 550 and was a Past President with the Daymakers Rotary in Bloomington, MN. To stay active I love to ride long distance on a road bicycle and have completed seven 350 mile MS TRAM bike rides for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
- Must-Have Watch or Piece of Jewelry: For a man, a high end wristwatch. For a lady, a classic diamond solitaire ring.
